i think the simplest things are the best option in most life scenarios. especially when it comes to dressing up. old pair of jeans, washed out t-shirt, high heels and boyfriend`s blazer can work out great if styled right. also a plaid shirt, oversized sweater or biker boots. when i doubt or in a hurry i always run to my favourite pair of jeans, black knitted sweater and my (i call them awesome) boots. oh and also... thumbs up for the grunge inspired looks... love the 90s!!

this week has been life changing for me. i got a lot of good news and some bad, ended some projects and started new ones. i always feel so strange when things like this happen. like a part of my life is over and i`m starting a brand new one. in a sence that is what it`s happening...

To Cut or Not to Cut

it`s that time again... you know... when you get bored with your haircut and want to spice it up a little bit. when i saw this photo i instantly wanted to cut it. now that i had some time to think about it i`m really torn between leaving it to grow back long and cutting it. the only thing about cutting it this short (that i`m terrified about) is i always had hair just long enough to put it in a ponytail and hair this shor wouldn`t allow that... ah... drama queen!

Light as a Feather

here it is... my second tattoo! i decided to show u after all...

the story behind it is pretty simple... i knew from the start where i wanted to have it and that it should be something that describes me. after listening to all the Norah Jones albumes for the 10 millionth time i came across a verse "light as a feather heavy as the weather" and i knew that was it. it decribes my personality perfectly!

and if anyone is wondering: yes it hurt like hell for the whole hour and a half of tattooing in whole week of healing. the ribs are one of most painful places for tattoos... just sayin!

imagine my suprise when a few weeks back at a frey wille event i spotted my favourite bag from a few seasons back. man, i really loved this ysl bag! i never tought i would see it here in slovenia since it`s much more common to spot louis vuitton... anyway, i tought to myself: "this girl must be something special"! and she is. i met her on philips fashion week breakfast with designers and we clicked instantly. i had to ask her about the bag and the more we talked, more i was interested in what else does she hide in her closet. so i kindly asked her if i could peak inside...

Saša has more than 150 pairs of shoes and her clothes, accesories, bags and shoes are stored in 4 different rooms in the house.

Who`s Saša and what`s your main occupation?
Currently i`m still studying at the Vetenery Faculty, but my life is mostly about writing and fashion. So you could say that in his "spare time" with the greatest pleasure I work for Rina magazine as well as I write my blog Sasha`s portfolio.

What`s your life goal?
I would like to finish my study as soon as possible then mostly suceed in busines.

And what are your dreams?
In addition to the veterinary alternative medicine and writing attract me a lot, and of course fashion in all the possible ways.

What`s your favourite brand/designer and why?
I love Max Mara, because they offer high-quality elegance to young ladies as well as ladies in more mature years. Of course I also love the following trademarks and designers: Alexander McQueen, Zac Posen, Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Lanvin, Sportmax, Versace,... and the list goes on because in each collection I always find at least one piece that I love.

What about Slovenian designers?
Maja Ferme, Nina Šušnjara, Draž and Marteja Grošelj for the bags.

How much money do you spend for clothes, shoes and accessories per month?
Too much (laughs). It depends largely on the month, the desire and ability of course. I spend the most in the period from fall till the end of December.

Where do you do your shoppings?
Most often I do my shopping abroad because there`s much more choices. Especially in Italy. Of course also in Slovenia but not as often.

Your favourite piece in your closet and why?
In general pants because they are very practical and suitable for everyday. They can be daily, sporty, elegant, but they can also be part of an evening dress. If we talk about specific pieces it would be a royal blue shirt from Supertrash, pink maxi skirt from Sportmax, Mura coat and studded YSL Easy Y bag.

Trend you'll definitely wear this season?
Studds, silk, feathers, glitter,...

Personal style or the latest fashion trends, what do you prefer?
I would say personal style in combination with the latest trends. But most importantly, I have to feel good and consequently also look good.

Whet are your styling rules?
If I have metal details on clothing, handbags and shoes (let say gold), my jewelry will be in that color as well.

If you could raid anyones wardrobe, who would it be?
Anja Rubik, Beyonce, Rihanna, Diane Kruger, Nicole Richie,... it would be difficult to choose only one, hehe.

Your fashion fetish?
Definitely shoes and handbags.

Last fashion buy?
Handbag.

Fashion style that best describes you and the one who inspires you but you`ve never tried it?
Right now it would be a classic elegance. Depending of course on my mood. I`m impressed with neo style, but it hasn`t yet been tested.

you probably heard that McDonalds has macaroons in their McCafe from now on. i just found out yesterday so of course i had to try them right away. they have 5 different tastes: chocolat, caramel, vanilla, raspberry and pistachio and i`ve tried them all except vanilla... they were pretty good (loved pistachio!) considering it`s mcdonalds... only the price is a bit high i think - 0,80€. have u tried them jet?

Making Of: Resistance to the Sun

it was the end of august and it was hot as hell (around 35°C)... our models were fully coverd in black leather and latex and the team was jumping around in bikinis. we were shooting in Socerb for about 8 hours, i did 14 stylings and we shoot 12 different scenes...

when it comes to men i`m very picky. it just to be only about personality but lately i find myself styling random men i see or meet. only in my mind of course but still. if i happen to spot i guy i like, i always find something wrong with the way he dresses and restyle him in something i would love instead... i mean, there are no stylish (straight) men!! i probably sound crazy right now, but don`t women always dress their men? if not in the most obvious way than just occasionally... i mean, every girl buys her man a t-shirt or a sweater here or there and than he has to wear it just to please her, am i right? so i would like to know has your man`s wardrobe changed since he`s been with you and do u often buy him clothes (and make him wear them)?

everyone has heard by now about the Marni for h&m collection but i`m much more excited about two other collaborations (i was never crazy about Marni). first is The girl with the dragon tattoo collection at h&m and second and most interesting is Mary Katrantzou for topshop. i love her prints and from what it seems they`ll also be featured in the topshop collection. and the girl with the dragon tattoo collection is just so my style: leather, ripped t-shirts and biker boots.... in love already i just hope we get this in slovenia!!

Dreft FW Zagreb Day 3

since i had to get up very early the next day (5am) we decided we`re going to skip the third day and went shopping to West Gate instead. at first i was sad to miss Ada Zanditon, but when i saw the photos i was glad we went home.

Artiđana: it`s a nice collection but i`m not blown away

Ada Zanditon: i expected a lot but the only thing i really love about this collection are the hair and make up

Toni Rico: hooray for half naked men!! that`s about it!

Zagreb was awesome but to tell u the truth i was a bit dissapointed by fashion week. the organisation wasn`t that great and some of the showing designers were just like "what the hell is this??". it was obvious that other people noticed that too so it wasn`t a suprise there were a lot of empty seats. all in all it was good but the selection of the designers could have been better since Croatia has many great designers.

i watched a bunch of videos about him yesterday (you might remember him from Gaga`s video Born this way) and he`s so damn cute! he has dimples when he smiles :) i couldn`t believe he`s only 26 years old, survived brain tumor and paid 17,000 $ for his tattoos so far. love him!

Dreft Fashion Week Zagreb

i started my fashion week experiance really nice and slow with Philips fashion week last month. thursday i`m going to Zagreb for Dreft Fashion Week and who knows maybe the next step is Milano or even Paris.

Zagreb will be special just because i never had the time to discover the city and i don`t know that much about Croatian fashion. there are quite a few guest designers from the UK, Paris, Antwerp and Milano. i`m excited to see Basso&Brooke, eco designer Ada Zanditon and Bad Spirit. you can see the whole program here.

last night i went out with my friend to dance my ass off and to find some fresh meat. i completed the first mission but failed on the second. seriously where are all the pretty bad boys? do they even exist in our piece of land or am i looking at the wrong places? girls what do u think?

all i came across yesterday were dull mama`s boys and the best looking guy in the club was the dj. how depressing is that?

yesterday was the first time this season i wore my faux fur coat. does that mean that winter is in town? it sure was cold yesterday and since we were shooting outside, the coat was the best option. i`m not even going to start on how frozen our model was, dressed in well... not a whole lot.

talking about work these photos were taken in our improvised studio in wich we shoot all the style sections for Bella Donna. actualy it`s a back room of the marketing office and a storage for all the stuff they don`t need. so you can imagine how it is to work in there for quite a few hours with loads and loads of clothes and accessories everywhere. fun!

At the Stylist`s Office

i had such a busy day today... you know that feeling when you`re so tired you think you could die but at the same time feel some kind of acomplishment, like your day was one big succes? that`s how i feel right now.

i started my day early with not such a good feeling in my stomach or in my nose (i can feel my immune sistem shutting down) and went stright to work. i was pickin clothes for tomorrows photoshoot all morning. in between i run into my ex roommate and had breakfast and coffee (at noon actually), then pulled out some more clothes...

after that i was meeting the lovely Ana Lazovski at the centre of the city for an interview. we had a lovely chat over tea and coffee. 2 hours went by so quickly i couldn`t even believe it. then back to the mall, pickin up some more stuff for tomorrow. by the time i got home it was almost 5pm and i still had to prepare all the styling for tomorrow.

i acomplished a lot today! and how was your day like?

*ow... and this is all the stuff we have to shoot tomorrow. yeah, it`t gonna be another busy day at the stylist`s office :)

yesterday my friend sent me mms with the skull knuckle clutch so today i had to stop by New Yorker to check it out. it`s so cool! ...the similaritie to the McQueen clutch is not a coincidence. when i was browsing some more i also find a great envelope bag- simple, black, just the right size- perfect! me happy :)

this outfit didn`t turn out quite the way i wanted... before the show i had a shiatsu and didn`t have the time to dress up properly. i was in doubt about the golden tights, i think on some photos my legs look like sausages. and the shoes i wore for the first time, although i have them for almost a year now. they`re impossible to wear longer than half an our, since the heel is about 15cm high and they don`t photograph well at all.

Finance Trendi Fashion Show

omg! it`s been more than a week since Finance Trendi fashion show. time flies! anywayz, the NiOka fall collection, designed by Nika Ravnik didn`t impress me that much. i mean, i love the architectual minimalism but i just wouldn`t wear it. but i did love the shoes. ow, the shoes!

i first came across Iris van Herpen for United Nude limited edition shoes sometime in spring and i instantly feel in love. they`re the perfect combination of pretty and ugly. since then i`ve been checking out all the United Nude stores and corners, but never had a glimpse of them in real life. until this show. all i was photographing were the shoes :) even Anže was laughing at my obsession. when i got home i had to check how much they cost and i must say i was a bit suprised when i found out the price is 850€. seriously?! no thanks! i`ll just keep admiring them on paper and web.

Philips FW: JSP

i love the concept and stylings of the JSP collection. i mean, it`s not something we haven`t seen before, but it`s definitely one of the most inovative ones on Philips FW. the prints are amazing and i can`t get over the ropes as necklaces- such an easy but effective idea. the shoes were also great, i think they complete the whole look and unlike some collections we`ve seen they weren`t just some shoes that happend to be there. My favourites are all the tunics, leggings and accessories. i like them all!

i`m sorry, the photos from this show really suck since the press area was packed and i could only thake them when a photographer in front of me took his hand of his camera... true story!

yesterday after i came back from my parents to ljubljana, i did a little shopping since i was driving past a shopping mall (who can resist). i was trying this boots in a few stores before, but they never had them in my size, so imagine my happy face when after almost two months i finally find them. they were mine before i even tried them on! they`re the perfect mix of cowboy and biker style, don`t you think?
the long blazer from h&m was on sale, so for 10€ it was obvious i wasn`t leaving it there.

i got a bunch of new stuff last week so stay tuned...
